Will you find your consulting heart in San Francisco 2019?

With great excitement and hours of planning, your ADMC Board of Directors invite you to do so. Thirty-three years since its origin, ADMC is where Abundant Thinking Takes Root and this year’s meeting promises many opportunities for collaboration.

In 2018 we adopted the Hawaiian and heartfelt term, Ohana, which means “family” in the Hawaiian native language. ADMC is truly family, a “Road Family”. We appreciate that as consultants we have our struggles and triumphs and we want to make things work for our clients. The ability to interact with colleagues who truly understand our passion, commitments and the climate of the dental profession is one of the most profound benefits of membership. Being a self-employed consultant can be a lonely experience and ADMC members provide support no therapist possibly can.

San Francisco is my favorite city in the world! I began my consulting career with Pride Institute when it was located on Clay St. near the Oakland Bridge and for six and a half years, enjoyed the comradery of my Pride colleagues when visiting Marin County and Napa Valley for company meetings. My hope is you will extend your stay by coming early or staying late to enjoy some of the fabulous wineries, city streets and overall culture of this fabulous city.

Dr. Roy Shelburne has designed a tremendous two-day conference; fabulous speakers, expert tips from members on topics as diverse as organizing like a pro and financial management plus best lessons learned that have had an impact on our businesses since Hawaii. If you missed Hawaii 2018, you will gain some perspective from those who were there. And what would an ADMC gathering be without a social outing, a tour of the city on Tuesday, and the big finish, the always outstanding celebration hosted by our generous and loyal Founding Sponsor, Care Credit.

This year, there are several Board positions open for election. We will be seeking talent to direct the marketing and sponsoring chairs as well as for treasurer responsibilities. Our current Executive Board and Board of Directors are amazingly talented, and our professional organization would not exist as successfully without each person lending their time and talent. Will you consider how you may like to be more engaged? Please take the time to nominate and to vote when ballots are sent out.

In addition, there will be new members to meet, sponsoring partners to learn from and we promise that the winner of the “Selfie” contest will be announced.

Our Silent Auction and fifty-fifty raffle will benefit an international organization that sends volunteer dentists and doctors by ship to treat medically and dentally underserved people in Africa. Mercy Ships is served by a former client. One of the most gratifying accomplishments for us as a consultant is to elevate the client to the level of financial freedom at which they can choose how they spend their time. Pearl Burns, DMD achieved financial freedom after 25 years as a client and has served on 15-20 mission trips per year for 5 years.

So, let’s rekindle, join together and reignite our passion for our profession. Come find your consulting heart in San Francisco 2019. I promise it will be a meeting to remember.

Mercy Ships logo

Our 2019 Charity for our Silent Auction and 50/50 Drawing will be Mercy Ships

Mercy Ships is an international organization that uses hospital ships to bring safe surgery and capacity building to countries that fall at the bottom of the United Nations Human Development Index. Since 1978, Mercy Ships has visited more than 55 developing nations. We are passionate about serving those in need, and we strive to leave a lasting impact for the futures of those we serve.

With the help of our generous donors, Mercy Ships is able to provide free, first-rate medical and dental care to children and families on the continent of Africa. Thanks to our volunteer crew who donate their time and pay their own way, all gifts received can be used wherever they are most needed, which means more lives healed, more lives restored, and more lives saved.

Our charity event during the meeting needs your help. To volunteer or donate an item for the Silent Auction please contact Bonnie Pugh at
