Apr 2010, Leslie Canham Article Title: Infection Control Course offered for California Dental Assistants For those of you who have clients in California, the regulations for training unlicensed Dental Assistants has changed again. The Dental Board of California ruled that only unlicensed Dental Assistants who were hired after January 1, 2010, are subject to the new training requirements. Her services include on-site mock inspections, consulting, and programs to help dental teams navigate the sea of always-changing state and federal regulations. Leslie is authorized by the Department of Labor as an OSHA Outreach Trainer in General Industry Standards. Her vast experience in dentistry, along with her OSHA knowledge, gives her a unique perspective on how dental practices can best meet compliance issues. Leslie speaks nationwide for study clubs, dental societies and organizations, where she is well-known for presenting memorable, engaging and entertaining programs. She has published numerous articles for dental industry publications, and has authored several continuing education courses for Dentaltown.com, Contemporary Dental Assistant and The American Dental Assistants Association.
